King County protects public health and the environment by conveying and treating the region’s wastewater. Many of King County’s wastewater facilities are more than 40 years old and do not meet current design standards. To ensure the safe and reliable operation of these facilities located in the West Seattle service area, King County is making upgrades over the next several years. (Refer to links at right for specific-project information.)

Upcoming Pump Station Upgrades

  • 53rd Ave Pump Station Upgrade -- construction began in Spring 2008
  • Barton Street Pump Station Upgrade -- currently in design
  • Murray Ave Pump Station Upgrade -- Phase one, electrical upgrade, will be completed in 2008. Phase two, generator and odor control unit is in design.

Your comments and ideas are welcome

King County is committed to being a good neighbor and welcomes your comments. We will work directly with the City of Seattle and the community throughout the project to ensure that suggestions and concerns are addressed.
